Christmas Aftermath

Christmas is my favorite time of year, except when it comes to cleaning up. We love to have a big christmas tree and this year was no exception. It was 10 feet tall and took 1200 lights to cover it and about 300 different ornaments. It was torture taking that thing down!! Well we waited a bit to long and the tree dried out before we took it out of the house, so when we moved it we had needles everywhere!

I can't believe I forgot to take a full picture of our tree this year, but here is a little glimpse of it through the window.

We also have to cut the tree down since it is so tall because the trash service will not pick up trees over 6 feet.

It was an all day adventure getting that tree taken down and put away, but it is finally done. It only took us 3 weeks after Christmas!

Wow! That is a BIG tree! I love that first shot. I liked back when you posted it awhile back. I wish you had one of that gorgeous gigantic tree before the *aftermath*.

It looks beautiful through the window. That sounds like a big job getting it decorated and then taking it down. I decided to go with smaller trees the past two years and it did make it easier, but they don't make a statement like a 10 ft tree for sure!
